Mini Beauty Haul

Monday, 26 May 2014

I'm supposed to be on a spending ban since I am going to London for IMATS. As you guessed from this post the spending ban lasted a mere 5 minutes and a caved when I saw these products.

I am an addict.

1. Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipsticks

On my Disappointing Products post I talked about the nude Kate Moss Lipstick I had and why I didn't like it. But since that was in the matte line I thought that I'd give the other lipsticks a try where the formulas are supposedly more moisturizing and less drying. I picked these up yesterday and my first impression is the color selection is really nice! Theres a lovely range of shades, I picked these two; left shade 30, right shade 22. Shade 30 is a lovely deep plum and shade 22 is a light red. I tested them out on my hand and they applied really smoothly and pigmented. When I got home I tried them on my lips straight away, I couldn't resist. They really are totally different to the matte line! They apply beautifully and the color pay off is brilliant. I haven't had them on my lips for the 8 hour claim to say anything about that but I'm sure they will be great nonetheless.

Here are some swatches;

Left; shade 30, Right; shade 22.

2. Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation

I have always been skeptical about this foundation because I like a full coverage and this is a lighter coverage foundation. But yesterday whilst shopping I thought to go for it as I need a lighter coverage foundation since it's coming up to summer. The gel formula is noticeable when applying it, it seems to make the blending a lot easier. I haven't tried it properly yet but from what I have seen it looks very good. I will do a full review soon.

3. Kiehls Micro-Blur Skin Perfector
I posted this product on my wishlist and I have finally got it!! I received a call that it was in my local House Of Fraser so I immediately had to go purchase it. Like the foundation I haven't tried this properly, just tested it out on my hand but from the test I really like the feel of it, it smooths the skin which means a even, matte base will be awaiting your foundation application, perfect if you find you have an oily skin type. I am looking forward to see what results come from this primer as over time this is supposed to "perfect" your skin. Anything that says perfect in the name I am all for, got to admit! I will do a first impressions soon and a full review after a few months use to let you guys know how I get on!

I think from now on I will try to minimize the spending otherwise I won't have anything for IMATS which would be a huge dilemma.

Have you tried these products or been wanting to?
Let me know in the comments below, I would love to know!
