The Voluminous Fishtail Braid

The fish tail braid has been popular for a while now and no surprise, it's such an interesting braid that looks really difficult to do but in fact it's the complete opposite. Today i'm going to show you how to achieve this look!!

First of all decide where you want your braid. I chose to do my braid on the side. 

Then split your hair in two pieces like so;

After that, grab a small strand from the back of one of your sections

Bring the small strand you picked up and place it over the large piece of hair you took it from and combine it with the other large section of hair. Do the same on the other side too.

Make sure after each strand you tighten the hair to make sure the braid is secure.

You want to carry on doing this technique until you reach the ends of your hair and secure with a hair tie. You should end up with this result.

To make this braid voluminous you want to start pulling at the braid to make it appear larger and thicker. Pull at each little strand to make it appear messy and and effortless.

You should be left with a great voluminous fishtail braid, it looks especially good if you have highlights as they show up woven in the braid and it looks really great!

I love this hair look, especially in the hotter days. It keeps your hair out of the way in a really cool, stylish way.
